FAQS
Should I wear Lederhosen?
Do you own Lederhosen? If so, you already know the answer to this question.
Will there be day-of ticket sales?
Possibly, but why wait? Our last event in Mill River Park was sold-out and some folks were turned away at the door :(
Do I have to bring my actual paper ticket to the event?
Nope. You will, however, need to bring either the paper ticket or a digital copy. All tickets will be collected/scanned at entry.
My friend gave me her ticket but it says her name, and she's a she and I'm a he. Is that okay?
Yep. Come as you are. 1 ticket = 1 entry.
Where do we park our automobiles?
Take a cab, take an Uber, walk from the train, walk from your apartment or ride your razor (really?). If you absolutely must drive, there are 8 municipal parking lots near the park. More info can be found at http://www.millriverpark.org/contactus/ We've also created an event map, feel free to take a look here: EVENT MAP
Once we enter the event, can we leave and come back in?
Yes. We understand that there are reasons to leave the event, i.e. feeding a parking meter or going home to take a nap. Security does, however, reserve the right to refuse re-entry if they deem that you are unfit to enter.
Can I bring my kids? My mother in law won't watch them anymore.
We feel ya. And yes you may. Children 12 and under are FREE. For Children 13-17 you'll have to purchase a ticket at 1/2 price using the discount code "teenager" at checkout. Unfortunately, adults 18-20 years of age are not permitted to attend this event.
Can I bring my Dog/Cat/Bird?
Yep. Pets must be leashed at all times, including your Bird.
Can I bring Lawn Chairs?
Lawn chairs are a fantastic idea. There will be plenty of tables/chairs in the Pop-Up Beer Garden area, and plenty of Lovesac's in the field, but you are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets if you would like to sit out on the North Lawn.
Can I bring a bag of sorts? I have a lot of stuff that I carry around.
Yes and No. Fanny packs and purses will be permitted. No backpacks or large bags allowed. How much stuff do you have anyway? Security will be doing bag checks at the gate so please refrain from bringing anything illegal with you to the event.
Will you have any other beverages for sale besides beer?
Yes. We will have hard cider. Waters and soda will also be available from the Food Trucks.
Can I bring outside food/beverage?
Sorry friend, no outside food or beverage may be brought into the park.
What happens if it rains?
Oktobeerfest In The Park is RAIN OR SHINE!
I lost my wallet and my passport, can I drink beers anyway?
Nope. Everybody needs to present a valid ID (Drivers License or Passport) upon entry in order to receive a wristband and 1 free beer ticket. Anybody seen consuming alcohol without a wristband and proper identification will be promptly removed from the event and reported to security and the Stamford Police.
How do I get more beer once I'm inside the festival?
Additional beer tickets will be available for purchase for $6 per ticket. Tickets are good for 1 beer.
If I buy a DD ticket, can I still drink? Like, only a little?
Nope. Stay safe!
